About This Event

Join us for the inaugural Women In Open Source Camp, to be held at the United Nations as part of the weeks-long "Open Camps" initiative.

In this first event of this kind, we will hear from women technologists who are practitioners and influencers in the open source community. Speakers will cover a range of topics from mentoring initiatives to gender issues and social policy.

We have set aside open time for networking, discussion or hands-on code labs to suit your interests. Have something you are passionate about or want to create awareness around? We welcome lightning talks and open conversation that can potentially help define and guide the directions of future #WOSCAMP events.

Women In Open Source Camp

The Women in Open Source Camp is an initiative within OpenCamps that  connects and celebrates women technoloigists in the open source community.

The purpose of the camp is to create awareness of WOS efforts, foster networking & mentoring within the community, and support discussions on the opportunities and challenges for women in this domain.
